RSHM offers Immigration Legal Services to the local community
The RSHM LIFE Center began the Immigration Legal Services Program in 2013 in response to changing demographics and developments in immigration law and policy. The goal of the program is to keep our families together through direct representation and community education and outreach. We strive to ensure that all citizens and non-citizens alike are aware of their rights and responsibilities as community members. The program provides affordable, direct legal services to individuals who are seeking to regularize their legal status and to those seeking representation in removal proceedings.
Affordable and reliable immigration legal services are imperative in order to protect our vulnerable low-income immigrant families against unscrupulous notaries and deceptive service providers. The RSHM LIFE Center Immigration Legal Services Program works in collaboration with other organizations to serve and protect this vulnerable population, including Neighbors Link, Empire Justice Center, Hudson Valley Justice Center, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Community Resource Center, Make the Road NY, My Sister’s Place, Center for Safety and Change, Cabrini Immigrant Services, New York Immigration Coalition and Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc.
