Parents and Tots is a pre-school program for toddlers, with a support component for the parent or guardian who accompanies the child. In this program children are immersed in the English Language, learn to follow directions, learn social skills, learn to play with other children and begin to separate from their mothers for periods of time. This enables the children to prepare for school.
When the children are in their group, parents have the opportunity to study English and participate in other activities such as discussion groups or arts and crafts. These activities empower the parent to develop as individuals, reduce isolation, provide them with a peer network, and enable them to grow in self-knowledge and self-esteem.
